Face masks are recommended by the Taiwan Center for Disease Control to help limit the spread of Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19). When used properly, masks can help prevent infections transmitted by respiratory droplets. Masks are not only the effective ways to protect us and our family from COVID-19, but also essential to Restaurant management and standard working procedure for Food Maker. Accordingly, if you need to wear a face mask, please take the following 4 steps to put one on correctly.
1. Open: Before you wear a mask, clean hands with alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and water. Then, open the package. Make sure the mask is intact and the colored side is facing outwards.
2. Wear: Place the loops over your ears. Secure the metal edge on your nose bridge. Extend the mask to fully cover your nose, mouth, and chin.
3. Pinch: Pinch the metal edge of the mask gently. So it will press firmly on your nose bridge.
4. Fit: Check the mask and your face. Ensure all sides of the mask fit your face snugly.
Lastly, please keep in mind that the masks should change timely. Replace the mask immediately if it is damaged or soiled. When taking off face masks, avoid touching the outside of mask as it may be covered with germs. After removing the mask, discard it into a lidded bin and perform hand hygiene immediately.
